- Graduated from Colorado State University for Electrical Engineering and has worked in the field for over 25 years.
- While in the Army Patrick gained vast experience with multiple firearms from the M-16 up, but always felt he wanted more experience with handguns as they were not as commonly used in the military, so he began to seek out educational opportunities.
- He has since taken the NRA basic pistol class, the Front Sight Defensive Handgun class, and the NRA Pistol Instructor class. In addition, he has consulted and worked with members of the police department and FBI SWAT teams, Rangers, Seals, US Marshalls to ensure he is up to date on the latest handgun and defensive tactics.
